Description
The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from industry. QUESTIONS & ANSWERS: Q1: The Government Minimum Requirements as outlined in the first paragraph of Attachment #1 state that: "All components of the system shall be fully compatible and interoperable, and shall be functionally operable as one complete system. " Is the Government's intent that all instruments operate as a unified system which implies the use of an external processing device (e.g. computer)? Or, are the instruments to be controlled separately yet be compatible and interoperable with each other? A1: Any component should be capable of being removed from the complete system and operated independently. A separate computer can be used to program, operate or control the complete system or any of the individual components of the complete system to generate and analyze waveforms via Matlab, Labview, Java and C/C++ software. Q2: Does the Government expect this system to be semi-/portable or will the system remain stationary throughout the intended use model? A2: The system will not remain stationary. It will be disassembled, shipped and reassembled at other Navy test ranges so the system must be semi-portable. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
