Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, located in Washington, DC, intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed priced contract to TATCO Services Inc. This small business will provide an interim Janitorial Support Staff contract to the Environmental Management Service (EMS) Department for the VA Medical Center. Due to the sudden decrease in staff and unsuccessful attempts by the Human Resources Office the Government is in dire need of support to supplement current janitorial staff. This interim contract will assist in avoiding a break in service which would negatively impact the hospital. This interim contract s period of performance will begin 12 May 2018 through 30 September 2018; this will allow the Government sufficient time to advertisement and award a new contract under a base year plus option year procedure. This procurement is being conducted under a Limited Source Justification in accordance with FAR Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(A) Unusual and Compelling Urgency. It is the Government's intent to solicit and negotiate only with this source. This is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
