- Attachment 3 - Wage Determination Attachment 2 - SOW Attachment 1 - Photos Solicitation The USFS Region 2 AQM has issued the attached solicitation for maintenance work on the Porcupine Ranger Station. The Government intends to use Simplified Acquistion Procedures to solicit and issue a Firmed Fixed price purchase order with an expected order of magnitude of less than $25,000. - Pre-Bid site visit : Our procurement goal is to have this action awarded by the 1st of June with work to follow in August. This of course is prior to when the site is accesible due to snow and weather. Therefore, there is no scheduled site visit. If this solicitation results in fair and reasonable bids within our budget, we plan to proceed with an award. If not we will reassess our options. - Period of performance : August 2018 - SUMMARY OF WORK 1.1 LOCATION: A. This project is located at the Porcupine Ranger Station, Building #3535 (Crew/Office) on FS 13. Site is approximately 50 miles east of Lovell, Wyoming on Hwy 14A. 1.2 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: A. The work to be accomplished under this contract is to stabilize and realign the Eastern most "bowed out" wall of the dwelling. Such work can include: 1. Temporarily bracing of the bowed wall (east wall) with timbers or similar material. 2. Removal of casement windows if needed prior to moving wall. 3. Stabilize or jack up roof with cribbing prior to moving wall. 4. Pull the walls back in alignment using cables, plates, and come-a-longs from the inside of the building and hydraulic jacks from the exterior. 5. Once wall is realigned, securely fasten the wall to the roof system using (Simpson ties or similar product) and if needed use cable and turnbuckle between east and west load bearing walls in attic. This will be determined once the project begins. 6. Reinstall casement windows, repair or reconstruct trim-work, and seal any remaining gaps/hole on interior. 7. Repair or reconstruct trim-work, seal any holes or cracks, and use daubing/chinking on the exterior. If you have questions or advice to give, please contact the POC.
