- STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS FOR Multi-Chamber Washer Bld 34 VETERANS HEATH ADMINISTRATION 4 April 2018 *ALL ITEMS HEREIN THAT MENTION BRAND NAME PRODUCTS MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR A LIKE OR SIMILAR ITEM* 1. INTRODUCTION This solicitation is to provide the Robert J. Dole VA Medical facility with one (1) standalone Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector washing systems for the proposed Sterile Processing Service (SPS) in building 34. Currently, the existing SPS service is undergoing a major expansion. This expansion includes the procurement and installation of one (1) Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector washing system that will be able to clean and disinfect surgical instruments. 2. BACKGROUND The Robert J. Dole Medical Facility uses two washer/disinfector washing systems to clean and disinfect surgical instruments after use. A building expansion project is currently underway that will add over 4000 square foot of floor space allowing for the installation of one (1) Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector washing system and other equipment. The proposed Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector washing systems will be installed by the general contractor or who they award to install the systems. 3. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to provide one (1) Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector washing systems that will be assembled in place by the general contractor. The contractor who is awarded this contract will be responsible for measuring the prepared space prior to the delivery of any equipment. If the prepared space is not suitable for the installation of the proposed one (1)Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector washing systems, the contractor is required to notify the government immediately so modifications can be completed. The proposed one (1)Multi-Chamber Washer/Disinfector washing systems shall be fully automatic and equipped with return tracks that lead into and out of the cleaning equipment to eliminate the technician having to lift the clean rack from one station to another. The proposed system shall be considered high capacity with the capability to clean and disinfect medical devices, utensils and highly delicate instruments without damage. The systems shall be able to process ten (10) manifolds trays per cycle and shall be able to accommodate up to five (5) levels. The proposed system shall have multi-functional washing capabilities able to be programmed for different washing cycles and run consecutively with cleaning chemical for separate instruments. The proposed equipped shall be with LED functions in it control panels and shall no more than 28 gallons of water per cycle of operation. The proposed power requirements shall be 208 Volts, 3 phase with five (5) wires to include protective earth and neutral. Each piece of equipment shall be manufactured to be secured for seismic activity. The proposed equipment shall have automatic drains and have automatic load and unload elevators. Also, be equipped with preprogrammed cycles with easy to read touch LED screens. The proposed LED touch screen shall be no less than ten inch (10 ) diagonally. The vendor who is awarded the contract shall be responsible for field verifying the space prior to the manufacturing or delivering any equipment. After installation, the supplier shall provide onsite training lasting up to 3 business days. Training shall consist of, normal operation for SPS employees, troubling shooting, and preventive maintenance for on station Facility Engineering personnel. Training shall consist of operational manuals, video (available) and website access as well as hands on instructions. 4. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS A.
