Description
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: A Long Life Reusable Container (LLRC) is a specialized shipping and storage container employing a shock isolation system for military components and applications. The LLRC will: (1) be constructed of steel, (2) be designed to protect the contents from experiencing a G-force greater than fifteen (15) G's, and (3) have a chemical agent resistant coating (CARC) finish. THE REQUIREMENT: Army Contracting Command-Warren intends to solicit for the development, prototyping, validation, and documentation of two (2) unique LLRC's. These containers will meet the LLRC design, prototyping, validation, and documentation requirements identified within SAE ARP 1967B as well as the attached revisions and exceptions contained herein. The LLRC contractor will provide a complete Level 3 Technical Data Package (TDP) for each LLRC. The TDP will include engineering drawings and associated lists in sufficient detail to provide for a competitive procurement. Engineering drawings shall comply with ASME-Y14.100 2000 and ASME-Y14.5M 1984. The contractor will provide 3-D models and electronic drawing files in IGES and PDF formats for each LLRC TDP. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541330. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this market survey is to identify potential sources that are capable of developing, prototyping, validating, and documenting LLRC's. Total quantity of LLRC designs for this effort is two (2). GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no risk to you for participating in this survey. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. This notice does not constitute an Invitation to Bid or Request for Proposal. This request for information does not commit the Government to pay any cost incurred in preparation of any submission to this questionnaire. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING SURVEY: Please respond to every question. 1.
