- Network Contracting Office 17 on behalf of Nutrition and Food Services, South Texas Veterans Health Care System, is sponsoring an Industry Day for a Cook-Serve Food Service System on 17 May 2018. The Industry Day will be held at the VA Medical Centers in Kerrville and San Antonio, Texas. The purpose of the Industry Day is to provide an opportunity for companies to ask questions in an open forum. Transparency and communication is critical. The Industry Day presentations will include technical experts and contracting representatives. Questions and answers presented will be recorded and posted. Accordingly, information will NOT be treated as proprietary. This announcement should not be construed as a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract based on this Industry Day. Registration Instructions: Interested participants must pre-register for the Industry Day via email to andrew.knih@va.gov. Please submit the following information for each individual no later than 17:00 HRS CDT on 14 May 2018 to pre-register for Industry Day. 1. Individual attendee's full name 2. Individual attendee's e-mail address 3. Company name 4. Company DUNS Number When submitting registration information, please include Food Service Industry Day STVHCS in the email subject line. Directions and additional information will be provided to the registrants. There is no registration fee. Question Submittal Instructions: Prior to Industry day, please be advised that you may submit questions by e-mail to andrew.kinh@va.gov no later than 14 May 2018. Use the following format for your question submittals: 1. E-mail subject line should read Food Service Industry Day STVHCS. 2. Submit questions directly in the e-mail text. A Request for Information (RFI) will be posted no later than four weeks after Industry Day. This will include results of the Industry Day questions and answers. This announcement should not be construed as a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Industry Day.
