- Description
- This is a Sources Sought Notice for Service Disabled Veteran-owned Small businesses for the following work: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation to support the Eielson, JBER and the PRSC Hazardous Waste Programs. Specifically the contractor will operate the Hazardous Waste Centers (HWCs) to collect, manage and dispose of hazardous wastes, universal wastes, other regulated wastes, and recyclable materials. The HWCs are central accumulation areas (CAAs) as defined in 40 CFR 260.10, which will be managed by the contractor in compliance with federal regulation applicable to CAAs. Work shall be performed in accordance with (IAW) all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and policies regarding the management of Hazardous Materials and Wastes. The contractor shall comply with the following (existing and as revised): applicable Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) permit conditions, Hazardous Waste Management Plans, Base Operations Plans including, but not limited to, the JBER OPlan 19-3 Environmental Management Plan (or other JBER hazardous waste management plan which may replace JBER OPlan 19-3), the PRSC Waste Handling Handbook, the Eielson Hazardous Waste Management Plan (HWMP), the Eielson Oil and Hazardous Substance Discharge Prevention and Contingency Plan, and applicable Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force Instructions (AFIs). The contractor will manage all hazardous and universal waste in accordance with regulations applicable to large quantity generators of both hazardous and universal waste. The Contractor shall be responsible for identifying and complying with the most stringent/applicable federal, state and local policies/regulations that will affect the contract.
