Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF A SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION FOR PALO ALTO HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (VAPAHCS) LIVERMORE PHASE B - CONSTRUCTION OF COMMUNITY BASED OUTPATIENT CLINIC AND CENTRAL UTILITY PLANT, STOCKTON, CA, AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Sacramento District intends to specify the below listed items as part of a construction contract; Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) Livermore Phase B - Construction of Community Based Outpatient Clinic and Central Utility Plant (CBOC & CUP). The Government WILL NOT purchase these items directly, but will require the construction contractor to provide these items. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific items listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirement - application for brand name description." Brand Name Items: (1) AD Systems (Aurora Door) Top-Hung Sliding Wood Framed Sliding Doors to provide a safe, reliable, space-saving and patient-doctor privacy. Currently, DVA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) utilizes the Aurora Door throughout its existing campuses. This door system must be consistent with the existing sliding doors, and compliant with the Architect and Engineering design specifications. (2) BEST brand Door Security Key System, BEST 1CP-7-WA-2-626 Lock Core System, to provide for the master keying of all key lock operated doors for multiple facilities. Door security key system must be interfaced seamlessly with the current Best Access Series Lock Core system installed throughout the VAPAHCS campuses for remote monitoring, maintenance, and operations. (3) HID pivClass Readers Model# RP40-H920PHRNEK00005 and Sielox Access Card Reader Systems for a secured PIV Badge system. The new system must be connected to the existing DVA VAPAHCS campus network system for remote monitoring and management. (4) Honeywell Fire Alarm System (HFAS) to provide remote monitoring and functioning of the fire alarm systems, and management. The fire alarm system must have the capability to communicate with the existing system at the DVA VAPAHCS. (5) Skyfold Zenith 48 Automatic Vertically Retractable Acoustical Wall to provide a safe, reliable, space-saving and patient privacy-oriented operable wall system. Currently, DVA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) utilizes the Skyfold Zenith 48 throughout its existing campuses. The new vertically retractable acoustical wall system must be consistent with the existing sliding doors, and compliant with the Architect and Engineering design specifications. THIS NOTICE IS A COURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No separate solicitation will be available for these brand name items since they will be incorporated into the specification of Solicitation Number W91238-18-R-0056, DVA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) Livermore Phase B - Construction of CBOC & CUP, which will be issued on/about 11 June 2018. Vendors who offer the above items which can meet all of the above functional criteria re invited to respond to this notice. Responses must include the following information: (1) Identification of the manufacture's name, address, and country of product manufacture; (2) Fully detailed specification sheets; and (3) Narrative addressing how your product meets the salient features listed above.
