Description
This Request for Quote (RFQ) is made using the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. BASIS FOR AWARD: The Government intends to award a contract to the responsible quoter whose quote, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors specified elsewhere in the solicitation. Note: Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Initiate/Update SAM registrations at https://www.sam.gov. Requests for the Statement of Work and RFQ are directed to view the entire RFQ on the Governmentwide point of entry available via the Internet at https://www.fbo.gov/ using Keyword / Solicitation #: 140P4318Q0042. This RFQ is restricted to small businesses in accordance Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.203 -- Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources, Set-Asides for Small Business Concerns. The RFQ will be set-aside for 100% for Small Businesses under NAICS Code: 238160, Roofing Contractors (SBA size standard $15.0 Million). The order of magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. The location of the work is Weir Farm National Historic Site, 250 Old Branchville Road, Ridgefield, CT. Period of Performance is 6 weeks after Notice to Proceed. The scope of this contract is in two parts. Part one is to remove existing architectural asphalt shingles and replacing them with new, 30 year architectural asphalt shingles and replacing the existing gutters with no clog, seamless type. Part two is prepping and painting of clapboard siding and windows on all sides of the house. The contractor shall supply all materials and provide all labor associated with this task. Dept. of Labor, Service Contract Act Wage Number: CT180007 shall apply to this work. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to inspect site prior to proposing. An organized site-visit is scheduled for 05/08/2018. See clause 52.236-27, found in the RFQ, for the time and location of the site-visit along with the Point of Contact information. Any questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to the Contract Specialist, David Barceleau, at david_barceleau@nps.gov. Questions should be submitted no later than two business days prior to the due date.
