Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a Brand Name Sole Source contract to Cospolich, Inc 14695 Airline Hwy, Destrehan, LA, 70047-4336, for the replacement of different part numbers of condensing units and gaskets for the undercounter freezers and cold food units on board the ship in the Wardroom, CPO, and Crew Mess Deck areas. This is in support of USS New Orleans (LPD 18). Cospolich Inc is the authorized OEM of the product parts listed in this Notice of Intent. Requirement includes delivery of all items. FLCSD will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is for a brand name only. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a) (6), the required justification documentation is attached including the specific part numbers. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 4:00 PM 08 May 2018 PST via email only to: rubeli.deinla@navy.mil A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
