Description
RFI for Induction Heating System SEEKING an Induction Heating System This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) only. This request is for planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/solicitation. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of the government to award a contract or to pay for the information. The government may or may not decide to award a contract as a result of this RFI. The government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received in this office for the purchase of this product or information. The information provided will be used for market research only. A company is encouraged to respond to this notice if it possesses the capability to provide an Induction Heating System that meet or exceeds the minimum requirements below: Power Requirements: •· 240 VAC, 3 Phase 60Hz 17.4 KVA Physical Dimensions of power source: •· Maximum of 20"w x 24"d x 15"h Features: •· Solid State power source •· Output Frequency of 20-80 kHz •· Frequency Resonance Range 20-60 kHz •· Remote heating station with at least 10ft leads •· System must be capable of multi types of feedback control •· Closed loop chiller •· Heating station must have a total weight of less than 25 lbs Heater Power output: •· Minimum of 15 kW Controller/Software Requirements : •· Must be compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 OS and later Respondents to this RFI are asked to identify the following: •- Company name, address, email, telephone number •- DUNS Number and/or Cage Code •- Contact information for a point of contact •- Business size in accordance to the Small Business Administration's Table of Small Business Size Standards found at https://www.sba.gov •- Where this item is made and where the parts are from. •- If it's buy-American Compliant. •- Informational literature about the laser system Please forward all information, questions or recommendations to : Casey Pehrson Contracting Officer, US Air Force Academy CO 80840 casey.pehrson.2@us.af.mil OMBUDSMAN (JUN 2016) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the interested party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions). (d) The ombudsman has no authority to render a decision that binds the agency.
