Question & Answer Round 2 Trade-In/Disposal: Would the Government please clarify that Trade-In/Disposal requirements will be identified and priced at the time of each delivery order? The pickup and disposal will be one for one based on the estimate. Biomed Technical Training: Would the Government please clarify that Biomed Technical Training requirements will be identified and priced at the time of each delivery order? Biomed technical training in references to the SOW, this is any training the VA Staff will need to Maintain the BCMA Carts and COW s. Regarding Warranty, would the Government please clarify "During the warranty period, the vendor shall provide all-inclusive service (parts, labor, preventive maintenance, travel and unlimited repairs) at no additional cost Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 am 4:30 pm (excluding holidays)." These terms exceed standard commercial warranties for these items. No Does this service level require the vendor to provide on-site warranty repair? Yes, on-site repair shall be provided Regarding Warranty, would the Government please clarify "During the warranty period, the vendor shall provide all-inclusive service (parts, labor, preventive maintenance, travel and unlimited repairs) at no additional cost Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 am 4:30 pm (excluding holidays)." These terms exceed standard commercial warranties for these items. No If on-site warranty repair is required, within what response time? These terms exceed standard commercial warranties for these items. No If on-site warranty repair is required, would the Government please confirm that remote diagnosis and trouble-shooting will be completed prior to dispatching a technician for on-site repair? Troubleshooting will be conducted in-house by service staff Regarding Warranty, would the Government please clarify "During the warranty period, the vendor shall provide all-inclusive service (parts, labor, preventive maintenance, travel and unlimited repairs) at no additional cost Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 am 4:30 pm (excluding holidays)." These terms exceed standard commercial warranties for these items. No With what frequency does the Government require preventive maintenance (i.e. annually, or bi-annually)? Preventative maintenance will be done according to manufacturer s recommendations/specifications Accessories - Biohazard container. Would the Government please supply a manufacturer name and part number of an existing Biohazard container as an example? What is the intended use of a Biohazard container? The word Biohazard should have been SHARPS. Would the Government please change the Cart Type distinctions from footprint size to med drawer count? The required number of med drawers will drive the actual size of cart required. The footprint is the size the VISN has determined will allow a more custom cart to meet the needs of each facility. Parts & Accessories: Would the Government please supply the exact model and part number of the required Zebra label printer? There is no preferred however here is what the Zebra label printer needs to have: Label size 3 x 3.5 (Centurion Labels, code: DTL3790PH), 1 x2, and 1 x 3 Direct Thermal (No ribbon) Max Print Speed - 5 IPS Max Media Size Print width: 104 mm Maximum length: 126 mm Monochrome or Color - Monochrome Parts & Accessories: Would the Government please specify the exact cart configurations and accessories required for each facility for each contract year? Each configuration of med drawer count, med drawer size, and accessory options must be individually engineered for safety and use considerations, including human factors engineering, ergonomics, weight distribution, electrical load, and other factors. As stated in the SOW, the footprint size for the carts is listed with a flexibility of +/- 3 inches. I have included the ranges below: Footprint Size Requirements Cart Type Footprint Size (WxD)* Transfer Cart 39-45 W x 28.5-34.5 D Large BCMA Cart 36-42 W x 22-28 D Medium BCMA Cart 24.5-30.5 W x 22-28 D Small BCMA Cart/COW 13-19 W X 15-21 D Would the Government please provide a Price Schedule table, with quantities of required items per site per contact year? Per the response instructions in E.12, offerors are to complete line item pricing in B.4. Each line item should set forth the type of cart, number of med drawers required, size of med drawers required, and each accessory required in each cart configuration. Each configuration of med drawer count, med drawer size, and accessory options must be individually engineered for safety and use considerations, including human factors engineering, ergonomics, weight distribution, electrical load, and other factors. Page 11 of the SOW gives the footprint size for the carts as does the above question #10. Page 13 of the SOW gives an estimated number of carts that each facility is looking to purchasing over the life of the BPA. Would the Government please complete Section B.6 by inserting the maximum order size limit, and the contract Ceiling Limit? This is a solicitation for a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) where a contract ceiling limits is not required. Would the Government please provide an extension to the due date of the RFQ, providing 5 businesses for quotes to be due after the Government answers the Q&A This RFQ has been extended a week and now closes on 5/9/18 at 4:00 PM EST.
