- Description
- This notice is a Notice of Intent. (NOI). This notice is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This is a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Price Contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, and is not a request for competitive quotes. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Igenbio 1016 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60607-2914 for one (1) year license renewal of their proprietary ERGO Database. The renewal includes 12 monthly data updates of existing genomic data, via secure online access. All new public genome data and proprietary customer data from any sequencing and annotation projects performed with IG. Renewal includes phone/email support along with 8 hours of web-ex based trainings with IG scientist. Must be completely compatible with the infrastructure and format of the existing Rocky Mountain Laboratories ERGO server (Classic ERGO and ERGO 2.0). Updates will consist of both the database and analysis software supporting the database. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 511210 with a small business size standard of $38.5 M Igenbio is a small business. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement. The Government plans to award a contract for this requirement within 30 days of this notice. While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy this requirement. The Government understands that Igenbio is the only vendor which can provide the requested products for NIAID. However, firms that believe they can provide the capability required to fully meet the Government's requirement may submit a quotation that will be considered by this Agency to the identified point of contact before closing of this notice. Such documentation shall be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
