Page 1 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 16 is seeking Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and/or Small Business (SB) sources capable of providing the equipment as detailed in the Statement of Need below for the Central Arkansas VA Health Care System, located in 4300 W 7th St., Little Rock, AR 72205. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR art 12 & 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 339113. Any SDVOSB/VOSB/SB firm who wishes to identify their interests and capability to provide this service must provide interest information by notifying the Contract Administrator no later than 11:00 AM Central Standard Time, May 04, 2018. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certification to be able to provide the equipment and pertinent installation, maintenance and support during the warranty period. Notification shall be e-mailed to Hector Lopez, Contract Administrator, hector.lopez@va.gov. NOTE: TO QUALIFY SDVOSB/VOSB VENDORS MUST BE VERIFIED AND CERTIFIED IN THE VA VENDOR INFORMATION DATABASE (VIP). Page 2 of 2 STATEMENT OF NEED: GENERAL OBJECTIVES AND REQUIREMENTS Title of Project: Molecular Infection Disease Diagnostic System FDA Approved, with base, 4 modules, printer kit, service agreement, installation, and in-house training. Molecular Infection Disease Diagnostic System Salient Characteristics: Equal or Better to BioFire FilmArray Torch as outlined below: FDA-approved multiplex PCR diagnostic system for pathogenic microorganisms FDA-approved panels for different specimen types (i.e., respiratory, gastrointestinal, blood from positive cultures, and CSF. Identification of different classes of common infecting microorganisms (i.e., bacteria, viruses, yeasts, and parasites) found in each specimen type Replacement of defective test panels at no charge Modular and expandable to accommodate possible changing requirements, up or down Minimal hands-on time for set-up (e.g., 10 minutes or less); walk-away for analysis Minimal training time required of medical technologists for operation (2 hours or less) Minimal maintenance of equipment required (approximately 1 hour per week or less) Results available in less than 75 minutes Room temperature storage for all reagents All phases of molecular testing performed on one system.
