Description
Sole Source. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with United States Department of the Army Doing Business As: Family Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program located at Property Book Officer, Yuma, AZ 85365-9498. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) has a requirement to provide 38,400 meals. USAYPG is located approximately twenty-six (26) miles from the city of Yuma. MWR is also the only authorized entity to sell food in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 215-1 Chapter 12-2. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items FAC 2005-97, effective 06 Nov 2017. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) Code is 311991 with a standard size of 500 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability and understanding of Army Regulations (ARs) to meet these requirements in addition provide U.S. Army Veterinary Command (VETCOM) Federal approval (commercial food establishment approval program) demonstrating the authorization to operate on USAYPG by 07 May 2018 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
