Description
See the attached RFI for details THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP. Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback with regard to its submission, other than acknowledgment of receipt. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. USMS is not seeking proposals at this time. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the expense of the respondent. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. All submissions become the property of the Federal Government and will not be returned. Deliverables and all associated working papers and material generated during this RFI containing DOJ Information are the property of the U.S. Government. No material shall be reproduced or released to any third-party at any time without prior written permission from USMS, and a copy must be submitted to USMS. USMS has a need for a biometric enrollment kiosk with the following integrated peripheral devices : •· Fingerprint Scanner •· Iris and Face Camera (Same device) •· Scars, Marks, Tattoos (SMTs) Camera •· Bar/QR Code Scanner •· Electronic Signature Pad •· Thermal Label Printer •· PIV Reader USMS' goal for biometric enrollment at booking and intake is to integrate all peripherals in a manner that saves time, increases data accuracy, enables optimal performance, and improves officer safety. The current process for booking a prisoner involves multiple different peripherals tethered to a desktop computer, openly housed on a stationary cart. Unsecured objects raise safety concerns, maintenance of non-standardized equipment across the enterprise is challenging, and different peripherals result in different fidelities of data being submitted to Next Generation Identification (NGI). An ideal replacement kiosk would not pose any risk to officer safety, allow USMS to standardize what equipment is being used across the enterprise, and enhance the data quality of captured biometrics. The specific details and requirements are in the attached document.
