The system operates by laser rods being flashed by flash bulbs and sending a laser output through f i ber optic lines to a laser detonator which then ignites an explosive cha r ge in the canopy of the aircraf t. The laser b ased system will be obsolete due to a shorta g e in flash b u lbs. The re m edy for this obs o l esce n ce is to replace the laser syst e m with a ballistic sy s t e m. The Government will replace the l a ser i n itiat o rs with b a lli s tic initiators and the f i ber o p tic li n es with b a llistic trans fe r li n es. The current bracket assembly will need to be replaced by the bracket assembly MDC Trip required from this document. 2.0 APPL I CABLE DOCUMENTS Martin-Baker Aircraft Co. Part Number MBEU200866 Drawing - Bracket Assy MDC Trip 3.0 REQU I R EMENTS 3.1 Base Procurement The work required by this contract shall be per f or m ed in accorda n ce with this S O W. The contractor shall produce 294 each of P/N MBEU200866. A quantity of 50 Units shall be delivered to NSWC IHEODTD no less than 8 months from the date of contract award with 50 units delivered every 60 days thereafter until order is complete. The contractor shall issue a certificate of conformance for MBEU200866. 3.2 Option 1 Procurement The work required by this contract shall be per f or m ed in accorda n ce with this S O W. The contractor shall produce 436 each of P/N MBEU200866. A quantity of 50 Units shall be delivered to NSWC IHEODTD no less than 8 months from the date of contract award with 50 units delivered every 60 days thereafter until order is complete. The contractor shall issue a certificate of conformance for MBEU200866. 4.0 REQU I R ED DEL I VERABLES The contractor shall provide the following r e ports. Electronic sub m ission is required, and the Government will notify the contractor of a ny required corrective a c tion within 10 working days of receipt of draft. 4.1 Certificate of Conformance The contractor shall generate a Certificate of Conformance to the drawing of the bracket assembly. This require m ent is def i ned under CDRL A001. T h e Certificate of Compliance shall be provided for each lot of P/N MBEU200866 to NSWC IHEODTD on the delivery date of each lot.
