- This Sources Sought Notice is being published for the purpose of conducting Market Research to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. This is not a solicitation. All costs associated with providing information, as requested by this Sources Sought Notice, shall be the responsibility of the submitter. Submission is voluntary. The Department of the Interior (DOI) United States Geological Survey (USGS) has a potential need to relocate a Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory (ASL) Global Seismograph Network (GSN) owned/operated seismometer vault in Kongsberg, Norway (KONO) in accordance with the attached work statement. Interested firms who feel that they can provide the relocation based upon the attached drafted work statement, are invited to submit in writing, by email with attachments, an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response, not to exceed 2 pages, must include: 1. The firm's business size as registered in the System for Award Management (Per the Small Business Administration, FAR 19 and the System for Award Management, the small business size standard for NAICS Code 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction is $36.5M; the Government will review the information requested in this announcement to determine the type of set-aside, if any, for this requirement); 2. References with contact names, email addresses, and phone numbers, of completed projects similar in scale and scope as the attached drafted work statement; 3. The firm's DUNS number, as registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov; and, 4. A copy of an existing written agreement with Norsk Bergverksmuseum (NMB), the mine owners, who have exclusive control of all work done in their mine. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. All responses must be submitted NLT 05/03/2018 at 1700 ET via e-mail to Don Downey, ddowney@usgs.gov. This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps.gov) website and no paper copies will be provided.
