Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE   SOLICITATION NO. 36C24218Q0473   Purpose: The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to the Consolidated Facilities Maintenance services for the Veterans Administration, Northport VA Medical Center (VAMC). Authority: Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-solicitation Notices. Description: The Northport VA Medical Center in Northport, New York, has a requirement for Asbestos Abatement. For this requirement the following service requirements: Floor Tile and Pipe Joint Abatement in Building 200. The vendor shall provide all labor, materials, and supervision required to remove approximately 1,300 square feet of floor tiles and materials located in Room Numbers AO-14, AO-13, and AO-10 (A, B, & C) of Building 200. The floor tile and materials contain asbestos. The vendor shall provide all labor, materials, and supervision to remove pipe joint insulation located in Room Numbers AO-10, AO-10A, and AO-10B of Building 200. The pipe joint insulation contains asbestos. In connection with and in direct support of Prj. No. 632-CSI-402, Install PET/CT Equipment, there are ACM floor tiles and pipe joint insulation that needs abatement from Building 200. Approximately 1,300 square feet of flooring materials (ACM) need to be abated from Room No.'s: AO-14, AO-13, AO-10 and (A, B & C). Pipe joint insulation needs to be abated from Room No.'s AO-10, AO-10A, and AO-10B. Place of Performance: Northport VAMC, 79 Middleville Rd, Northport, NY 11768. Sole Source/Competitive Acquisition: This will be a competitive acquisition set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) participation, competed in FBO only. Contract Type: Firm Fixed-Price Period of Performance:  This contract will be for a period of up to 30 days. Government-Furnished Property/Equipment: None noted at this time. Expiration of this synopsis/notice: May 21, 2018 Release Date of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that Solicitation No. 36C24218Q0473 will be released on or around May 1, 2018. Should complications arise resulting in a delay in the release of the solicitation, the Contracting Officer will provide an update through FBO.
