Page 1 of 1 NOTICE OF INTENT FOR PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) - FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Construction Technology Group, Inc. 2605 N Airport road, Plant City, Florida 33563. Construction Technology Group Inc. is to renovate a part of the Basement at Bldg. No. 200 at the Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for this project as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes general construction, alterations, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, medical gas, fire alarm and electrical work, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. The construction work includes structural support for the equipment and mechanical work in the PET/CT scanner room, the PET/CT system component room, and the PET/CT control room. Place of performance: Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768-2200 Period of Performance: The period of performance is One Hundred and Eighty Two Days (182) calendar days from notice to proceed (NTP). This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement no later than May 1, 2018, at 2:00 PM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. If after May 1, 2018, at 2:00 PM EST, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall award solely to Construction Technology Group, Inc. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted. The point of contact for this action is Michael Giaquinto, Contract Specialist, who can be reached at Michael.giaquinto2@va.gov The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed- price contract. A determination whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition. Scope: This Project will provide for site preparation required to install and integrate PET/CT scanner at Bldg. No. 200 at the Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for site preparation as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes mechanical and electrical work; necessary removal of existing construction; and certain other items. Mechanical work includes fire suppression; plumbing including healthcare gas systems; and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning. Electrical work includes code blue system and fire detection and alarm. Work requires coordination and cooperation with other trades on site.
