- Special Notice Request for Information Only The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO20 is looking for certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) authorized distributor sources of the following: Hempro 2 Endo Vessel Harvest kit to be used with Maquet Hempro 2 system Qty Part Description Est 65-70/yr VH-400 System Endo Vessel Harvest, Hempro 2, conical dissection tip, vasoview, short port BTT, Sterile, Disposable, includes 5CC and 30 CC Syringe. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: The requested disposable vein harvesting system is used during coronary bypass surgery to endoscopically harvest a vein from the leg to restore blood flow to the heart. It is used to remove needed vein, control bleeding, minimize the size of the incision in the leg, and decrease the risk of post-operative infection. The disposable system is requested to be compatible with the MAQUET VASOVIEW HEMOPRO POWER SUPPLY, Ref # VS-3010 currently in use. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: The vein harvesting system must allow the surgeon to safely harvest high-quality leg vein for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. It must simultaneously cut and seal the harvest location. A pressure controlling syringe included in the system is used to protect vessel from overdistension and potential endothelial injury prior to implanting into the heart. It must be compatible with the MAQUET VASOVIEW HEMOPRO POWER SUPPLY, Ref # VS-3010 currently in use. Suggest usage 70 due to packaging of product at 5 per case. 14 cases x 5 per case = 70 total use per year. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements and is a certified SDVOSB or VOSB vendor may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 7 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Only authorized representatives of the manufacturer will be considered. Equipment must be new, no used or refurbished equipment accepted. Responses are due by electronic email to mona.nimmo@va.gov no later than 05/02/2018 at 4:00 pm EST. In accordance with FAR and VAAR Part 8 and 13, this notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97, 06 Nov 2017.
