- This is a sources sought for two Virtual Reality Stand Alone Systems for VAMC Salem, VA. This is not a solicitation, responses to this notice will be used as Market Research only. Please respond to kim.pauley@va.gov no later than April 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM EDT if your company can supply this product. Please provide your Dun and Bradstreet number and socio-economic status if you are interested in this acquisition. It is the intent of the government to solicit and award this contract if possible to an SDVOSB. Carefully consider the below requirements prior to submitting your interest in this acquisition, please include technical documentation for review if you want to be considered for receipt of a Request for Quote. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Equipment that includes: Two stand-alone virtual reality systems to be used for the delivery of exposure therapy for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder related to combat trauma and military sexual trauma. The ability of the system to simulate multiple virtual scenarios in Iraq and Afghanistan. The ability to customize elements of each scenario. The ability to provide sound effects associated with each scenario. The ability to provide vibrotactile feedback with each scenario. The ability to provide olfactory stimulation with each scenario. The ability to deliver visual stimulation through head mounted displays. SPECIFIC MANDATORY TASKS AND ASSOCIATED DELIVERABLES AFTER RECEIPT OF ORDER Task 1: Equipment Delivery Equipment that fulfills the requirements above delivered to the Salem VA Medical Center, reviewed and verified by warehouse staff, and transported to the research department for installation. Task 2: Installation of Equipment. Installation and demonstration of equipment functionality, along with telephone-based consultation must be provided. Fully describe available maintenance and support packages available to support the submitted system for review. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA Final inspection and acceptance of all equipment and work performed, reports and deliverables will occur at the place of delivery. No payments will be made until receipt of equipment and proper invoice, all invoices are paid in arrears. GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES The government shall assure that the contractor has access to training space as necessary. Please submit all special needs necessary to accommodate your training.
