- This is a modification to the original synopsis that was posted on October 13, 2018. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC$B!>(BAtlantic), N. Charleston, SC, intends to modify the existing contract by increasing the cumulative not to exceed contract ceiling amount for contract N65236-16-D-8001 by $14,200,000.00. This modification is necessary to permit the continuity of services to meet the current and immediate future demands of SSC Atlantic in its support of the Navigation and Geospatial Information and Services (GI&S) support to United States (U.S.) Naval ships and shore facilities without delay and to allow time for the solicitation, evaluation and award of a follow-on contract for fiscal year (FY18) support. This action is being pursued under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This Notice of Intent to modify this contract is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the work required would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract modification action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
