Please Note: Plans may be updated when Solicitation is posted The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) is preparing to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for 8 Emergency Watershed Protection ("EWP") Project Sites throughout Adams County, Mississippi. The work will consist of installing bank stabilization measures on designated slopes via rock rip rap and grout materials. The major items of work (for all 8 project sites) consist of: Item Quantity Unit Clearing and Grubbing 1 Lump Sum Erosion Control Blanket, Type 2 1,695 Square Yards Protective Cover 1 Lump Sum Mobilization/Demobilization 1 Lump Sum Earthfill Class C, off-site 4,880 Cubic Yards Fiber Reinforced Concrete 1.9 Cubic Yards Corr. Plastic Pipe, 12" diameter 85 Linear Foot Corr. Plastic Pipe, 24" diameter 78 Linear Foot Rock Riprap 1,110 Tons Geotextile 1,630 Square Yards Concrete grout 168 Cubic Yards The solicitation will be a Total Small Business set-aside. Contractors must be registered in and complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. A firm fixed price construction contract is anticipated under Sealed Bidding procedures in FAR Part 14. A bid guarantee, in the amount of 20% of the bid, is required to be submitted with each bid. Sureties should use SF-24 Bid Bond form. The bid guarantee shall be emailed with bid and the apparent low bidder will mail the bid guarantee within 24 hours of request by Contract Specialist. Performance (SF-25) and Payment (SF-25A) Bonds, in the amounts of 100% of the contract price, will be required within 5 calendar days after award of the contract. The anticipated period of performance for this project is 47 calendar days from the date the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Estimated Key Dates: May 7, 2018 - full solicitation package posted and available from this website Sometime in May 2018 - Site showing, sdate/time/locations will be provided in full solicitation June 7, 2018 - Bids due via email to tami.lanier@wdc.usda.gov by 2:00 pm EST June 15, 2018 - Notice to Proceed issued by this date In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS is $36.5M.
