- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a limited competition Firm-Fixed price contract for shock and vibration testing in accordance with MIL-DTL-901E and MIL-STD-167-1 on the Landing Signal Officer Display System (LSODS) for the following Equipment: P/N: 4099AS1000-1 P/N: 4099AS2000-1 P/N: 4099AS5000-1 P/N: 4099AS6000-1 Pursuant with NAVSEAINST 9491.1D there are only two (2) companies that are approved to accomplish a Float Shock Platform test and therefore it is the Navy's intent to pursue a limited competition between the following vendors whom are qualified to provide these tests: -National Technical Systems, Rustburg Division, 3915 Sunnymeade Rd., Rustburg, VA, 24588 -Hi-Test Laboratories, Inc., 1104 Arvon Rd., Arvonia, VA 23004 The NAICS code associated with this requirement is 541380. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The limited number of responsible sources listed above are the only companies known that can meet the agency's need for the LSODS shock and vibration testing in accordance with MIL-DTL-901E and MIL-STD-167-1 in support of United States Navy (USN) Nimitz and Ford Class aircraft carriers.. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Registration in the Department of Defense DoD System for Award Management (SAM) database will be a prerequisite for receiving an award.
