QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Production Scanner RFQ-2018-062 April 18, 2018 Question 1: What is the requirement of the scanner: simplex or duplex? Answer 1: Duplex Question 2: Can the maintenance be provided by another source other than the vendor submitting the bid (aka Subcontractor), as long as they meet all the criteria under Warranty, Maintenance, Technical and Training Support? Answer 2: Yes, as long as long as they are an authorized service provider by the manufacturer and meet all the criteria for Warranty, Maintenance, Technical and Training Support. Question 3: Under SOFTWARE/PC Requirements #2 - Supports TWAIN, ISIS, and WIA drivers: Please explain the justification for requiring the support of the WIA driver? TWAIN is usually the most flexible programmable and accepted method throughout the industry over WIA. The integration of Kodak Capture Pro with non -Kodak scanners is done using ISIS. Question 4: What was the price paid for the Kodak i860 scanner (trade-in)? Answer 4: This scanner was acquired in 2009 for about $65,000 Question 5: Will you also require removal and disposal service for the old scanner? Answer 5: Yes. Question 6: On the trade-in tab, you listed a volume of 5,838,075 - Is this the entire lifetime volume of the old scanner? Answer 6: Yes, 5,838,075 is the current number of clicks on this trade- in machine.
