- THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY TO DETERMINE THE INTEREST AND CAPABILITIES OF POTENTIAL SOURCES. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid/proposal package or solicitation. There is no bid/proposal package or solicitation. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue an invitation for bid/request for proposal or award a contract. The U.S. Air Force has a requirement for a firm-fixed-price, sole-source services contract. This sources sought is for services required at USAG Italy Camp Darby Military Community, Italy. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Europe Africa Southwest Asia (NAVFAC EURAFSWA) is conducting market research of Industry to identify potential firms with current and relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capabilities to perform complete maintenance dredging of a 490-meter section of Canale dei Navicelli (hereinafter, the Canal) and repair, or remove and replace a portion of the existing bulkhead(s) on both sides of the Canal adjacent to, upstream, and downstream of the existing Tombolo Dock to support the movement of barges within the Canal system. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 (~ ‚¬808,795 and ~ ‚¬4,043,975). This range is an estimate. If any contract is awarded, the contract will be awarded and administered in Euro ( ‚¬) and the anticipated period of performance is 470 calendar days. The NAICS code for this contract 237990 and the size standard is $27.5M. The services will primarily include, but are not limited to the following: Perform maintenance dredging of a 490-meter long section of the Canal and repairs to, or removal and replacement of, existing Canal bulkheads. The project will be completed across a section of the Canal that is approximately 30-meters to 44-meters wide, beginning 100-meters North of the Tombolo dock and continuing for 200-meters South of the Tombolo dock. The purpose of the dredging project is to bring the depth of the Canal ™s navigable section to a maximum depth up to 3.5-meters. The project will also include repair, or the removal and replacement of damaged portions of the existing bulkhead construction along both sides of the Canal, upstream and downstream of the Tombolo dock along the referenced lengths. All interested firms should be capable of obtaining base access passes. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This market research serves merely to determine the interest and capabilities of potential sources prior to determining the acquisition strategy. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this announcement. It is requested that interested sources submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than five pages in length, single-spaced, 10 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services. Responses must be received no later than 17:00 Central European Time (CET) on April 23, 2018. Late responses may be considered, however interested parties are advised that an acquisition strategy decision will be approved shortly after the deadline.
