Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE; THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS AT THIS TIME. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15, in support of Veterans Affairs John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, is currently requesting information to determine the existence of viable commercial sources capable of providing cold water dispensers and bottled water to the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. The intended contract period of performance is for a base year and four option years. Description of Services: The contractor shall furnish, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. local time, all labor, supervision, transportation, materials, and equipment required to provide 12 rental top load cold water dispensers, 12 rental pull-type cup dispensers, and deliver on a regular basis 5-gallon bottles of water (approximately 40 per month) and approximately 50 sleeves of white roller rim paper cone cups (100 cups per sleeve). The contractor shall be required to set up the water coolers, storage racks for bottled water; be responsible for the maintenance, repair or replacement of broken water coolers. Contractor shall respond within 24 hours after notification of a broken cooler. Contractor shall not charge deposit on bottles of water, with the proviso that the Government will pay the deposit fee for any bottle not returned at the end of the contract period. Water equipment must meet NSF/ANSI Standard 61, International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) standards, and the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) (21 U.S.C. § § 301 et seq.). The NAICS code assigned is: 424410 (General Line Grocery Merchant Wholesalers) and the small business size standard is 250 employees. The Government is not soliciting offers at this time, and it will be the Contracting Officer who will determine which suggested changes are accepted. This is a sources sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this request will be considered for the purpose of determining how the requirements will be stated and how the procurement will be conducted. This sources sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
