Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center 58 Fulton Street Durham, NC 27705 intends to negotiate a Sole Source commercial item service contract with the Getinge USA, Inc. formally Maquet Cardiovasc US Sales LLC, for preventative maintenance and repair of five (5) CardioSave Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps. Vendor to provide two PM services in May and November and all unscheduled repair services for five Getinge model Cardiosave IABPs. Services to include all PM kits, parts, batteries, safety disk, labor, travel and software updates and patches required to maintain the equipment to OEM normal operating specifications. 24 x 7 technical and clinical OEM telephone technical support is included for any service outside the scope of the service contract. All parts provided must be OEM-new. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement that demonstrates their firm ability to provide the services described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered and identify their interest and capability to this response no later than April 13, 2018 3PM, EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
