Description
The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department Groton Office requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing Preventive Maintenance and Repair Services to Oil Spill Response (OSR) Boats and trailers located at the Naval Station Newport at Newport, RI, in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) incorporated within the RFQ. This is a synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13.5, Test Procedures with Firm Fixed Price Provisions. The Government contemplates a Firm Fixed Price contract with a 12-month Base Year and four (4) 12-month Option Year periods resulting from the solicitation. FAR clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend, will be included and will be initiated as an option, if warranted by the resultant contract. This synopsis will be posted on both the FEDBIZOPPS (https://www.fbo.gov) and NECO (https://www.neco.navy.mil). The RFQ number is N00189-18-Q-G118. The NAICS code is 336612 “ Boat Building, and the small business standard is 1000 Employees. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside (SBSA) competitive action. Anticipated release of solicitation is during the third or last week of April 2018. Questions regarding technical or contractual issues must be addressed to the Contract Specialist via e-mail ONLY. The solicitation will incorporate provisions and clauses in effect through FAR and DFARS. It is the vendor ™s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.arnet/gov/far and www.acq.osd.mil. Lack of registration in the System of Award Management (SAM) database (https://www.sam.gov) will make a vendor ineligible for award. It is highly recommended to read the RFQ in its entirety. Any missing documentation or requirement from the submitted package will automatically disqualify the bid from further evaluation. Payment will be made with Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF).
