Agenda The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP) will be hosting its MRP Small Business Engagement Summit 2018 on May 1, 2018. The Summit will held from 9:00 am - 11:30 am at the USDA, Riverdale Facility located at 4700 River Road, Riverdale, MD 20737. The MRP is committed to meeting its fiscal year 2018 Small Business socio-economic goal of 53% established for the USDA by the U. S. Small Business Administration. We are hosting this outreach event in an effort to educate the Small Business community of the MRP mission area, program challenges and contracting needs. There will be welcoming and opening remarks by the Deputy Director for the USDA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) and Acting Deputy Administrator for the APHIS - Marketing and Regulatory Programs Business Services respectively. The key speaker of the event is the Associate Administrator for the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). There will be a panel discussion made up of Program Managers from APHIS and AMS who represent the following technical areas: Emergency Response, Facilities Management, Financial Management, Information Technology and the AMS National Organic Program. The Agenda for this event is provided as an attachment to this notice. Small Business representatives interested in attending the event must participate in-person only. This event is free of charge. Parking is available at the location at no charge for attendees. Please Note: Space is limited to 200 individuals. Registration logistics: 1. Limited to two individuals per company. 2. Must register by April 24, 2018, 4:00 pm ET. Registration link will be removed by this date or sooner, if space capacity is reached. 3. Register via link: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/ourfocus/business-services/vendor_engagement_summit_2018 Participants will be screened by the Security Office; therefore, all individuals will be required to bring a valid photo ID in order to gain access to the event. WALK-INS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND THE EVENT.
