- RFQ 140P8318Q0038 Amendment 0001 - Pile Driving, Replace Mooring Pilings Amendment issued to change/correct requirement specifications and updates Statement of Work (SOW) piling specifications section to read: 2.1 REPLACEMENT PILINGS Specifications - Each pile shall be: 1) Domestic Steel; 2) 16" inch Round Steel Piles: ASTM A 53, Schedule 40, with.500 wall thickness in accordance with ANSI B36.1.; 3) Single length (no splicing shall be allowed); 4) Sufficient length to meet pile driving requirements in; Part 3, Paragraph 3.2.; and 5)Driving Shoes Required. Please see attached amended SOW document (paragraph 2.1) for detailed requirement specification changes. ------------------------------------------------------------- Request for Quotations, Pile Driving, Replace Mooring Pilings The National Park Service, North Cascades National Park (NOCA) has a requirement for Replacing Mooring Pilings at the North Cascades National Park (NOCA) Stehekin Summer Barge Landing located in Stehekin, WA. This Request for Quotation (RFQ 140P8318Q0038) and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-97 / 01-24-2018. RFQ is set aside for small businesses, NAICS Code 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction (Pile Driving, Marine) Contractors with a small business size standard of $36.5 million average annual gross receipts for the past three years. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project is expected to be between $25,000 and $100,000. All work will be performed under a single firm fixed price construction contract subject to the Wage Rates for Construction, formerly known as Davis-Bacon Act, General Decision Number WA90 with latest posting at www.wdol.gov on 02/23/2018. The Government intends to make a Firm Fixed Price, Simplified Acquisition (FAR Part 13), Best Value Award to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned businesses. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. Interested quoters must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database before an award can be made to them. If the quoter is not registered in SAM, they may do so through the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/ 1. Background: The work involved in the project consists of Replacing Mooring Pilings at the North Cascades National Park (NOCA) Stehekin Complex, Summer Barge Landing. Specific elements include, but are not limited to: Removal of three (3) Wooden Dolphins comprised of three single wooden poles tied together and Replace with Single Metal Piles. All work will be performed under a single firm fixed price contract per the attached Statement of Work (SOW) and Wage Determination. 3. Location: The Stehekin Complex, Summer Barge Landing is located in Stehekin, Washington, at the north end of Lake Chelan. The site is remote, and there is no road access to Stehekin, though there are roads within Stehekin Valley. Transportation is available via the Lake Chelan Boat Company (passenger ferries), or private boat to the marina at Stehekin. Materials may be transported to the site by barges, which do not run on a fixed schedule but can be chartered for a fee. Some tools and materials may be transported on the ferries. The Summer Barge Landing is physically located approximately.5 miles just north from the main Stehekin Landing and Golden West Visitor Center. Due to remoteness of the site and the logistics and costs involved with transportation, lodging, meals etc., interested quoters are advised (urged) to verify scheduled ferry/barge runs, lodging availability, meal service etc., and thoroughly research pricing and related costs prior to submitting a quote!!
