- Description
- STE TSS & TReX - Event Strategy The Synthetic Training Environment (STE) Cross Functional Team (CFT), in concert with NSTXL and the Training and Readiness Accelerator (TReX), is pleased to announce the launch of the Training Simulation Software (TSS) effort. On May 8th, 2018, the STE CFT, in coordination with TReX, will host an Industry Day at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, TX. On the afternoon of May 8th, the TSS Industry Day Feedback Sprint will commence. The event will continue through May 11th; a full agenda is forthcoming. TReX membership is not required to attend the Industry Day (May 8th), however, membership is required to participate in the TSS Industry Feedback Sprint (May 8th - 11th). The TSS Industry Feedback Sprint will consist of multiple Industry-led working groups analyzing and discussing the Draft TSS Statement of Need via non-Government, third party facilitation. This is an exceptional opportunity for Industry experts to help shape a critical component of the Synthetic Training Environment. The Draft TSS Statement of Need is anticipated for release on April 23, 2018. Registration for the event will also open on the same day through the TReX website (http://trainingaccelerator.org). Please continue to monitor the TReX website. We look forward to seeing you in Austin, TX! ***Details regarding overarching pre-award strategy are attached to this announcement and also includes anticipated dates for future events & actions.*** About TReX: The TSS effort will be a competitive action under TReX (http://trainingaccelerator.org) and you must be a member to propose in response to the TSS requirement. The Training and Readiness Accelerator (TReX) expedites development, demonstration, and delivery of prototypes to increase Warfighter readiness. With a focus on modeling, simulation, and training, TReX provides the United States Government with an agile mechanism to iterate and refine critical technologies to keep pace with ongoing and emerging challenges. By actively incorporating structured operational user feedback, TReX will identify and develop innovative solutions to inform materiel procurement requirements and acquisition. TReX is a new era public-private partnership that is managed by the National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL). Utilizing a broad innovation platform, TReX brings a first-of-its-kind capability to the U.S. Department of Defense. The Accelerator operates as a highly efficient, open-source network of top innovators across the innovation ecosystem, including industry, academia, investors, laboratories, and government. TReX provides support and engagement across the full life cycle of innovation from problem definition to ideation and solution prospecting through technology development and delivery
