Description

W912P818T0040 Combo Sol Syn Rock Supply This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes/proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(i), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This requirement is anticipated to result in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) contract. This a Request for Quotes (RFQ) and incorporates FAR provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-97. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New Orleans District requires limestone which will be loaded in two barges. The contractor shall supply the requested material loaded on 2 barges locally within 10 miles of the IHNC (Inner Harbor Navigation Canal) Surge Barrier in coordination with the Operations Division Hired Labor Unit. One barge will contain 1,400 tons of AASHTO #1 stone and the other barge will contain 1,400 tons of 650lb Armor stone. The Government will retrieve the loaded barges from the contractor's facility with a push boat in New Orleans, LA and return the barges to the contractor once the rock is unloaded. Material must be ready for pick-up and all coordination May 1, 2018. The Statement of Work (SOW) with associated Line Items is attached to this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation.
