- DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment, necessary for the construction described here as the project called Renovate Canteen Dining and Kitchen Area at the Miami VA Medical Center in accordance with the solicitation, Statement of Work (SOW), and specifications. The scope of this project is to accommodate the new Kitchen, Dining Area, Starbucks Kiosk and Cafeteria at the main hospital. Project No./Title: 546-17-109/ Renovate Canteen Dining and Kitchen Area at Miami VA Work Location: Miami VA Medical Center, 1201 N.W. 16th Street, Miami, Florida 33125 Estimated Target Completion Period: 180 calendars days after Notice to Proceed (NTP) Magnitude of this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000.00. NAICS 236220 Commercial and Industrial Building Construction Contractors. Size Standard is $36 Million. Product Service Code Y1DZ, Construction of Other Hospital Buildings. The proposed solicitation will use the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) selection process, providing the best value to the Government. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 1, 2018. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web-site at www.fbo.gov At the time of proposal submission, contractors must have current registration/certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.SAM.GOV and Vet-Biz at www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Proposals of contractors not registered/certified in both databases will not be considered for award. Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) - Contractors selected for award of this contract are expected to be good stewards of the environment by complying with federal, state and local environmental laws and other requirements such as medical center policy and project specifications.
