VHAPM Part 813.106 Simplified Acquisition Procedures: Soliciting from a Single Source Attachment 1: Single Source Justification for SAP under $150K VHAPM Part 813.106 Page 1 of 1 Original Date: 08/30/17 DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS Justification for Single Source Awards IAW FAR 13.106-1 For Over Micro-Purchase Threshold but Not Exceeding the SAT ($150K) Acquisition Plan Action ID: VA250-18-AP-6699 Contracting Activity: Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 10, Grove City, OH, CBOC Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount: For the repair/exchange of Olympus BF-UC180F SN:1211732, BF-UC180F SN:1211687 and MAF-TM SN:2552819 which require repairs that are not able to be performed by third party vendors. Scopes are being repaired by Olympus America, the manufacturer at a cost of $32,591.00. Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: Due to proprietary parts and technical limitations only Olympus, the manufacturer, can perform the needed repairs. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: Market research was not conducted as this is an emergency procurement in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-2.
