Description

THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract to Horiba Instruments Incorporated, "Horiba." The BEP has a need for additions to existing Horiba Fluorolog Spectrofluorometer (HFS) equipment to support several Research and Development projects critical to BEP's overall mission of U.S. banknotes security development. The improved HFS will investigate the lifetime of a sample using imaging and include equipment that would examine discrete wavelengths for expanded excitation capabilities. The BEP requires the exact parts which are only available from the original equipment manufacturer, Horiba. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received by the date and time indicated in this notice. All responses must be in writing only via email to the point of contact specified. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
