This Dam is located in Walla Walla Washington on the Mill Creek Stream. The Structure is approximately 251 feet long The Silt is compact and will require a method to loosen it up enough to remove it from inside the dam. After removal silt shall be hauled to a disposal site located on the project. This work will require the services of a land surveyor to ensure that the sediment has been removed to the specified depth. Surveying is the responsibility of the Contractor. Work area access is by two (2) 23 foot deep access shafts, via ladder, located at each end of the dam. Access into the dam once the silt has been removed from the base of the ladder(s) may convert the entrance into a Fall Protection Required Entrance. At this time, prior to silt removal, the ladders are less than 20 feet high, 20 feet is when the entrance will become a Fall Protection requirement.
