Description
Experience Questionnaire Inspection Schedule Wage Determinations Solicitation: 12-046W-18-Q-0042 (Under Bridge Inspection Truck) Provide an Under Bridge Inspection Truck (UBIT), qualified driver, and qualified equipment operator for use on Forest Service Bridges. The UBIT operations shall be capable of the following: • Travel on paved and unpaved road surfaces in remote mountainous areas of the National Forest. Some Forest roads will have steep grades, sharp curves, pot holes and loose gravel. • An under bridge inspection crane with bucket capable of carrying at a minimum one (1) UBIT operator provided by the contractor and one (1) Forest Service Bridge Inspectors. The total bridge inspector's weight with equipment is approximately 225 lbs. • Have the ability to operate in, around, through and over all types of obstructions including bridge trusses and girders. • The system shall be able to be deployed, reaching across sidewalks and over fences to gain access to under bridge areas. • Minimum horizontal reach of 30'. • Be able to set up, deploy and operate the UBIT within a 12' wide lane. • The inspection truck shall be in good working condition. Any deficiencies or problems noted in the truck's inspection shall have been corrected. • Provide minimum 117 VAC 4 AMP AC power source to the inspection bucket. • Provide a communication system and backup communication system between the driver and the operator • The driver and operator shall both be fully trained and certified to drive and operate the vehicle and crane. A minimum of 2 years' on the job experience is required. • Driver and Operator shall be trained in basic first aid and CPR. • The Government will only pay for services received. The equipment pricing shall include all miscellaneous expenses, parts, fuel, lubricants to keep equipment in good working condition. The Government will not be responsible for payment of downtime due to mechanical failure, the lack of a qualified operator, or any reason within the control of, or due to the fault or neglect of the contractor.
