- Please refer to the attached PWS for laundry services.. LAUNDRY SERVICES - SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (Not a Notice of Solicitation) SP4705-18-RL-0038 This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is in support of market research being conducted by the Defense Contracting Services Office of Fort Belvoir. This market research is being conducted to increase competition for this requirement by identifying potential sources and to gauge small business interest to determine whether or not this requirement can be satisfied with a Small Business Set-Aside. This SSS is published for market research purposes only, to identify potential sources capable of planning, implementing and accomplishing expert quality Laundry Services to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Headquarter, Installation Support. The contractor shall provide clean tablecloths, table skirts, placemats, napkins, aprons, hand towels, bath towels, small and large rugs for various events. The material shall be returned by the vendor clean and presentable for DLA special events. If not, DLA Personnel shall have the right to return the items at no additional cost to the Government for proper cleaning and be available for pick up within five business days. A Draft of the Statement of Work (SOW) is attached. The Draft Statement of Work (SOW), includes an estimate of the magnitude of laundry required to be serviced at DLA Headquarters. This requirement is for a one year base period with two option periods. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments. The Government's assessment of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business program. CAPABILITIES STATEMENT Interested parties shall submit a capabilities package, with a cover letter, that is brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrates ability to meet the stated requirements with sufficiently qualified personnel, as outlined in the attached Draft SOW. Capability statements shall be limited to no more than seven (7) pages and sent both Beverly J. The government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based upon responses hereto for any subsequent action. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be awarded a DoD contract. No set-aside decision has been made. Note that a key factor in determining an acquisition to be a Small Business Set Aside is that small business prime contractors must perform at least 50% of the effort, as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.219-14.
