- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO), on behalf of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Richmond, VA is seeking a contractor interested and capable of providing Non-Emergency Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Services for the beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Contractor will be responsible for furnishing linen and blankets for use in the ambulance. Clean and fresh linen and blankets must be used for each patient. The Medical Center will not furnish linen or participate in a linen exchange program. The contractor shall be required to undergo initial and random inspections to ensure all guidelines are met. The period of performance is from May 1, 2018 September 30, 2018 with 3 option years. Responses to this notice will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be incurred by interested parties in responding to this pre-solicitation notice. The VA anticipates issuing a solicitation for this requirement on April 6, 2018. The solicitation will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, as no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide full information to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments.
