- THIS ORIGINAL MARKET SURVEY WAS POSTED ON THE FAA'S CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES WEBSITE (FAACO.FAA.GOV). This is a market survey for a project titled: Annual Maintenance Contract “ Shimadzu Scientific Equipment The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a Market Survey for The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI), Aerospace Medical Research Division (AAM-600) to identify interested and capable Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), SBA recognized 8(a) sources, and/or any other source; that can provide all the requisite elements of the śAnnual Maintenance Contract “ Shimadzu Scientific Equipment ť. The FAA intends to review all responses to this market survey to establish the acquisition strategy in terms of contract type and contract vehicles currently in place with interested sources capable to fulfill all the requirements of the Contract. The FAA seeks the following information with the interested parties ™ response. Background Information and Contract Requirements: The proposed Fixed-Price contract is for all required labor, plant, parts, supplies, materials, fixtures, equipment, tools, test equipment, appropriate technical data and other facilities necessary to accomplish preventative maintenance (ie software updates) and repair services required to assure the proper operation of the LC/MS/MS (Liquid Chromatograph/Triple Quadrupole) instrument and two GC/MS/MS (Gas Chromatograph/Triple Quadrupole) instruments (Shimadzu equipment/Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The proposed contract is for a base year plus four option years. The Original Equipment Manufacturer, Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc., Houston, TX, holds the proprietary rights to both its hardware and software components of the designated instruments. As Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc. holds the data rights and repair specifications, they are the only known source for the repair and maintenance of the Government owned instruments. Therefore, the FAA does not have specifications or drawings available for release. The intent of this announcement is to permit companies, that may possess the technical capabilities to provide preventative maintenance and repair services for Government owned Shimadzu scientific equipment, an opportunity to provide specific information as to their unique capabilities to provide such support. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior for further action by the FAA. The FAA will use the responses to this market survey for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time but may issue a formal SIR/RFP once market analysis is complete. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION SHALL BE PROVIDED BY INTERESTED VENDORS: 1.Contractor Size, NAICS Codes and Capability Statement with a detailed narrative that fully outlines and describes how it will perform the śAnnual Maintenance Contract “ Shimadzu Scientific Equipment ť; along with how its software and integration will meet all the requirements. The Contractor shall provide documentation, certificates, licenses, and any other information that fully supports its technical capabilities. 2.Potential Partnership Agreements 3.Current Contracts (I.E. GSA Schedules; eFAST MOA; Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) etc. currently in place or that will be place within the next 60 days).
