- Description
- The Veteran s Administration (VA) Office of Research and Development, Service Area Office East in Pittsburgh, PA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Invivo Corporation of Gainesville, FL. The requirement is to upgrade an fMRI system that is currently installed and in use at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. The current system requires one Invivo SensaVue fMRI presentation system to include software/hardware, freight, installation and training. Any proposed presentation system upgrade shall be compatible with the Invivo MRI that is currently installed in the facility. Any compatible upgrades shall offer the following accessories/services as a minimum: One (1) Complete MRI Compatible In-Room fMRI experiment presentation system. Provide a high definition in-magnet room audio and visual presentation system for the patient during an fMRI exam. Portable display which may be positioned at either end of the magnet bore and virtually anywhere in the MR room. A minimum 32 inch HD Patient Display and Cart, Operator Console, CPU and Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse, Stereo headphones, Patient Microphone, Button Response Unit, MRI-compatible corrective lenses and Operator's Manual. Software which includes a minimum of 10 pre-programmed clinically proven fMRI experiments. Include freight, installation, training, and a minimum one (1) year warranty. The sole source is pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the contracting office no later than Wednesday, April 11, 2017, (10:00 AM, EST). Interest/capability statements may be sent to Michael Haydo at Michael.haydo@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
