- Description
- SPEC SHEET FOR CONAIR DRYER. RFQ IS ATTACHED WITH THE SPECS. Mobile Drying and Conveying System designed to dry plastic resin and convey it with dehumidified air directly to a processing machine. APPLICATION: To dry free-flowing, PETG pellets weighing approx. 50 LBS/CUFT at a maximum total throughput of 100 LBS/HR and with a minimum flowrate of not less than 6 LBS/HR and with a drying temperature 210 deg F for 4 hours.. Specifications: • A self-contained, mobile unit designed to dry plastic resin pellets and convey it with dehumidified air directly to a processing machine. This mobile shall unit contain: • A mobile dehumidifying dryer with a molded, impact resistant ABS housing on a steel, caster-mounted frame. • Drying hopper with a material distribution box • Drying Hopper (24 inch inside diameter (minimum) with a minimum volume of 12 CUFT). ° Insulated, double wall, stainless steel construction. o Must have a closed loop drying/conveying air recirculation system that produces hot (150-375°F), low dewpoint air (Dewpoint -40°F) that remove moisture from hygroscopic plastics with aftercooler. ° 60º cone angle design to optimize material mass flow for superior drying consistency. ° Oversized door with strip sight glass and no-tools rotary latches for easy cleanout. ° Removable air spreader with drop tube provides even bottom-to-top air/heat distribution. o Temperature setback that automatically reduces the drying temperature to a lower standby mode when the machine throughput is reduced or stopped • Dehumidifying Carousel Plus Dryer ° Achieves resin-drying dew point within 5 minutes of startup ° Fluted, molecular sieve desiccant rotor maximizes available surface area and eliminates desiccant beads and dust contamination. ° Uses 20% less energy than traditional carousel dryers and 40% less than twin towers. ° Fast response, open wire resistance tube heaters deliver consistent temperature and long life. o Carousel Dryer with a conveying blower, dust collector and direct-feed vacuum receiver to convey with dry air to the throat of a processing machine. • Controls o Single power drop and interface o Separate panel mounted rocker switches turn on/off the machine loader. o DC-A advanced touchscreen control with no less than a 7" view screen. o Lockable power disconnect; independently fused branch circuits; and a Type 1 enclosure. o System protection includes high temperature alarm; overload alarm and automatic cool down mode o Precise, adjustable Dewpoint monitor and control. o Controller must have the ability to be networked such that the operator can read actual hopper temperatures, change setpoints, read the dryer status, and process and display this information though an Ethernet communication port o Safely set-up drying cycles, perform hopper cleanout and maintenance while machine is in operation o Detect failed or out of place heating/drying process o Detect drying or loading equipment failures o Detect reduced air flow caused by dirty filters, kinked hoses and other obstructions o Detect a throughput change o Detect a loss of power o Detect overheated material o Display alerts describing the condition of the material inside the hopper on the operator's screen as well as display a green, amber, or red light tower to alert the operator that the dryer has stopped due to an alarm condition. o Use a temperature probe that monitors the temperature profile of the material in the hopper using at least at least 6 evenly spaced temperature sensors levels inside the hopper o Display trending graphs displaying the hopper temperature profiles from the data stored on the controllers on board memory circuit Pellet Transfer: o Pellet hopper loader that automatically performs repetitive cycles to turn itself on to fill the final destination hopper when the hopper indicates it needs more pellets and automatically turn itself off once the final destination hopper is full o Reliably transfer between 6 lbs./hr to 100 lbs./hr of pellets from the dryer to the final destination hopper o Conveying blower and filter o When the conveying function is turned on, the conveying blower will convey the dried resin to the machine loader mounted on the processing machine. (Minimum conveying dist. 15 feet vertical; 50 feet horizontal). o Demand sensor o A machine loader viewing chamber o Setup for 208V/3 phase/60hz electrical supply o Closed-loop drying/conveying. o Volatile trap. o After cooler with flow control. o Volatile trap. o Precooler. o Process filter check. o Drying Monitor. o Dry air conveying. o Self-loading, an integral hopper loader which allows the system to load itself from traditional vendor shipping containers. o Aftercooler and precooler water requirements - 45° - 85°F {7.2° - 29.4°C} at 2 gal./min. Physical: o Height - no greater than 91" to top of conveying pipe o Overall width - no greater than 44". o Depth - No greater than 60" o Outlet/inlet tube size - No less than 2.5" OD o Weight - no greater than 800 pounds o Water connections - 3/4 inch NPT o Pellet hopper loader dimensions shall be 4.5" diameter cylinder by 22" tall maximum dimensions
