Description
Solicitation Number: Oral Quote (SP3300-18-Q-5024) Notice Type: Sole Source Justification Synopsis: In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) anticipates awarding a purchase order on a sole source basis to UNICOR Office Furniture Group; for (19) freestanding workstations, file cabinets, tables, chairs and associated hardware and accessories and one (1) systems workstation. The "office furniture" is required by DLA Distribution Puget Sound, Washington for the newly renovated office space on the Mezzanine Level of Building 449 and the sixth (6th) Floor of Building 467. The Scope of Work includes layout, delivery and installation of office furniture and associated hardware and accessories. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of this contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The building in Puget Sound, Washington where the furniture for this requirement will be installed has existing office furniture provided by UNICOR Office Furniture Group. In order for required workstations to function appropriately, and safely they must be procured from the same provider so that all pieces mesh together fluidly. Office workstations must be maintained to ensure the safety of employees and to promote optimum workplace functionality in support of the mission. The newly renovated space requires furniture in order to provide current employees with a workspace to continue to perform and prevent a work stoppage resulting in mission failure. As a result, this requirement must be filled expeditiously. UNICOR Office Furniture Group is capable of fulfilling this requirement and has offered a shorter delivery schedule than necessary. The Sole Source Justification for this procurement will be posted as part of this notice once executed. This is not a solicitation for quotes. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice of a non-competitive action.
