Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR: Project A578-18-1022 - Replace Roofing at Edward Hines, Jr. VA Medical Center 5000 South 5th Ave, Hines, IL 60141-5000. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small Business (SDVOSBs). Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment to remove and replace the roof on the Bldg. 30 (1330 sq ft),1680 square feet of Outer Corridor roof above D and E Sections and 2100square feet of Bldg.220 above Room 110, located at Hines VA Hospital, Hines IL. Work is to be completed within 180 days after Notice to Proceed. The objective of this project is to remove 3010 square feet of built up roofing system and replace it with a new energy efficient Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing system and to remove and replace all metal gravel stop that has rusted through. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps.gov. There will be a pre-bid site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site conference will be included in the solicitation package. The solicitation for this project will be issued on/or about April 16, 2018 with the bid opening on/about May 16, 2018. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps.gov which may be issued to this solicitation. The project magnitude range is between $100,000.00 and $150,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238160; size standard $15.0 Million applies. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms. The SDVOSB must be registered with and verified by the Center of Verification and Evaluation http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, (CVE) prior to submission of an offer, and verified in the following websites: https://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award.
