- In accordance with FAR 5.201(b)(1)(i), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hereby provides its notice of intent to issue a non-competitive award, using FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to the Harvard Business School located in Boston, MA. This award is for the Women's Leadership Forum that will be held 30 APR 04 MAY 2018. A purchase order will be awarded in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). The VA requires training for three senior executive women who are employees of the VA. The leadership course is targeted for those women who already developed extensive functional skills and need to develop additional leadership capabilities necessary for performing in a position at the very highest levels of the VA. Based on information reasonably available to the VA, this training is the only known training that supports the goals and objectives of the VA s Chief Information Officer s priority for the organizational transformation in alignment with the VA Secretary s Strategic Plan and other VA initiatives. NOTE: THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The VA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Only written responses will be considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice, the Government shall determine whether a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Information concerning SAM registered requirements may be viewed via the Internet at http://sam.gov. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to micah.kauzlarich@va.gov, no later than April 3, 5:00 PM ET. Fax inquiries will not be accepted. Please provide capability documentation that should at minimum, include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective vendor(s) capabilities and experience that will show the ability to support this requirement.
