- Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334510 with a corresponding size standard of 1,250. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide Nevro System implantable devices that are FDA approved and deliver high frequency electrical signal at 10,000Hz manufactured to be implanted in the lower spinal area for the treatment of back and leg pain. Combining high frequency at 10kHz with unique waveform and a specific treatment algorithm results in HF 10 therapy: A paresthesia free treatment proven to provide superior pain relief to more patients. Traditional spinal cord stimulation leaves patients with a burning or pricking sensation that is usually felt in the hands, arms, legs, or feet, a condition known as Paresthesia. Patients can still receive MRI scans while wearing the implant, given certain precautions. This system is used at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), Joint Base San Antonio - Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The Period of Performance (POP) will not exceed 5 years and will consist of (1) base period and four option periods. Contractors responding to this sources sought notice are advised their response does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expense associated with preparation or participation in this research.
