Sources Sought Synopsis with Contractor Capability Survey SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS Aircraft Fixture (NSN 4920-01-046-2480RN) CAUTION: This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the Aircraft Fixture for use by United States Air Force (USAF) personnel. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. The fixture is coded 1G. The fixture, P/N 912222-1-2, is a fabricated unit consisting of a cart on casters that has a cabinet assembly containing control panel circuitry and electrical components. The fixture is used to check out the leading edge flap drive system on the F-16 aircraft. The data package is complete and can be used for competitive acquisition. Commercial item descriptions, commercial vendor catalog or price lists or commercial manuals assigned a technical manual number apply. The aircraft fixture is commercial in nature built with commercial components that are integrated to comprise the entire fixture. There are no samples available for evaluation, however the contractor may be allowed to view the flap drive system at USAFE that uses the fixtures. Contractor shall furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services. The contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractor's facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts. Currently Phoenix Products Corporation is the sole source contractor approved to produce the flap drive system fixture. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are hereby placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. Jones at janeka.jones.1@us.af.mil PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data/repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the production/repair of this flap drive system fixture (NSN 4920-01-046-2480RN). This SSS report covers the aircraft fixture. The aircraft fixture is a fabricated unit consisting of a cart on casters that has a cabinet assembly containing control panel circuitry and electrical components. The fixture is used to check out the leading edge flap drive system on the F-16 aircraft. The performance requirement for the aircraft fixture is that the fixture should enable the mechanic to prepare, test, and ensure the leading edge flap drive system is functioning on the F-16.
