Description

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1): For actions for commercial supplies or services greater than the SAT but not exceeding $6.5M, the requirements of FAR 13.501(a) apply to sole-source acquisitions conducted pursuant to Subpart 13.5 (Reference: FAR 13.106-1 (b)(2)). US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with Pacific Marine Equipment. Procure the services of a factory-authorized Hundested Propeller A/S Service Technician for all work performed under this task. Work shall be per the manufacturer's recommendations. Repairs shall be performed at an ABS-approved Tailshaft ladding Facility. Contractor shall transport the GFP shafts and tooling to the approved repair facility. Shafts and tooling shall be transported in Government-provided containers. Shipping weight for each shaft / hub / container is approximately 13,650 lbs with an overall length (LOA) of 42'. Upon completion of work, return the CRPP shaft tooling to the U.S. Moorings Logistics Warehouse. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 336611 - Ship Building and Repairing. Size standard for this NAICS code is 1250 employees.
